Our Work Is Backed in Writing — 10-Year Workmanship Warranty

Every roof we install comes with a 10-year workmanship warranty, in writing, no fine print required.

When you hire Resolute Roofing, you're not just getting a new roof — you're getting our word that it's done right, and a document that holds us to it. Our 10-year workmanship warranty covers the quality of our installation work, separate from and in addition to the manufacturer's warranty on the shingles themselves.

What Our Workmanship Warranty Covers

Our warranty is straightforward. If a defect in our installation causes a problem with your roof within 10 years of the project completion date, we come back and make it right at no cost to you. That includes issues like improper flashing, fastening failures, sealing defects, or any other workmanship-related cause.

What it does not cover: storm damage, impact damage, damage caused by another contractor's work, or normal wear over time. We'll always be upfront with you about what falls inside and outside the warranty — no runaround.

Workmanship Warranty vs. Manufacturer Warranty — What's the Difference?

These are two separate protections that work together, and understanding both matters before you sign any roofing contract.

  • What is a workmanship warranty?

A workmanship warranty covers the quality of the installation itself — how the roof was put on, not what it was made from. If our crew made an error during installation that leads to a leak or failure, that's on us, and our 10-year warranty means we cover the repair.

  • What is a manufacturer's shingle warranty?

A manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the shingle product itself — cracking, granule loss, or premature material failure that isn't related to how the roof was installed. Most major shingle manufacturers offer warranties ranging from 25 years to lifetime coverage on their premium lines.

  • Do I need both?

Yes. A manufacturer warranty without a workmanship warranty leaves a significant gap. If your roof leaks because of how it was installed, the manufacturer has no obligation to cover it. Our workmanship warranty closes that gap.

  • Does Resolute Roofing offer a workmanship warranty in writing?

We do. Every roof installation we complete comes with a written workmanship warranty. You receive a copy before the project closes — not a verbal promise, a document.

Manufacturer Warranty Coverage Through Our Shingle Partners

As a certified installer of a premium designer shingle line, we meet the installation standards required to validate full manufacturer warranty coverage for our customers. That certification matters — some manufacturer warranties are only honored when the shingles are installed by a certified contractor.

We'll walk you through the specific warranty terms for the shingle product used on your roof so you understand exactly what's covered, for how long, and how to file a claim if you ever need to.

Why a Written Warranty Is the Standard You Should Expect

A lot of roofing contractors offer verbal guarantees. We've heard the stories — a homeowner calls back six months after installation with a leak, and the contractor who promised to "stand behind their work" is suddenly hard to reach. A written warranty is a legal commitment. It names the parties, defines the scope, and gives you recourse.

We put ours in writing because we're confident in the work, and because you deserve more than a handshake.

Common Warranty Questions

  • Does the workmanship warranty transfer if I sell my home?

Transferability depends on the terms of your specific warranty agreement. Ask us about this before your project closes — it's a reasonable question and we'll give you a straight answer.

  • What roofing warranty is standard in Washington State?

Washington State does not mandate a minimum workmanship warranty period for roofing contractors. A 10-year written workmanship warranty is above the industry norm — many contractors offer one to two years, if anything in writing at all.

  • How do I make a warranty claim with Resolute Roofing?

Call us or use the contact form on our site. Describe what you're seeing, and we'll schedule an inspection. If the issue falls under the workmanship warranty, we'll repair it at no charge.

  • Does roof cleaning or repair work carry a warranty?

Our warranty applies to new roof installations. For repair work and other services, ask us about the coverage terms specific to your project — we'll tell you exactly what applies before work begins.
